Sound Dhaba is a venture/adventure to uplift emerging musical artists who celebrate the musical bonds and echoes between global music traditions and Black American music so that we may find joy, grounding and healing from live music in small venues in LA.

Sound Dhaba’s musical events are being created by a nurse who has found grounding and healing in live music while working for over 3 decades in community with those who live in the underbelly of our society.

Sound Dhaba is rooted in its desires to meaningfully compensate and celebrate the skilled musicians who provide joy and healing.  Sound Dhaba also wants to create space for music lovers who may not usually have the monetary means to attend these events.  Sound Dhaba commits to finding this balance with transparency and integrity as relationships are built with each musician and those who love experiencing their musicianship.  Sound Dhaba is working towards sustainability and not monetary enrichment for itself.

There is so much amazing music which emerges from global interconnections that are a result of diasporic forces and technology.  Sound Dhaba looks forward to creating space for it in LA.
