Moving With Our Community
In this time of celebrating our move to a new space, I want to express my extreme gratitude for the community that has come to be Sound Dhaba. I am deeply moved by the amount of love and healing that I have seen emanate from every person who has come to our shows since we opened our doors eight months ago. The support has been tremendous. It is you, the musician, the artist, the aficionado, who have given me the confidence to continue on this journey. It is difficult for me to describe the immense joy it has been to watch you create and nurture community with one another and to see potential realized. I am grateful to be included in your circles, your art, and your time. Thank You!
I look forward to moving together as a diverse community, into a new space where we’ll have even more opportunity to showcase and celebrate the sounds from all the different diasporas that are Los Angeles. I want you to feel like this is your move too, into a place that feels like your home. I look forward to more chillin’, good vibes, good eats, deepening friendships, growing our circle of those who deeply enjoy, respect and groove with all music. I look forward to bringing out more love and collaboration across “genres” where new music grows and weaves into itself. This is a space for your wildest musical imaginations, a space where it is safe to try.
Resistance, resilience and rejuvenation are as necessary now as they have always been.
